Far behind....

I am still so far behind :(  But I did make a bubble skirt for Madison. Not quite as bubbly as I want, but good enough for the first try. I got the directions here: Bubble skirt
It was very easy to make even for a beginner like me!

I know I said I would be on here at least once a week with a craft or project that I made, I guess I lied. I actually have been working on stuff but have just been so busy with the kids...I have made a few cards for birthday parties, made invitations for Daniel's birthday party in May (although not completely done yet, have to add the party details, but the card itself is done) and I even organized my digital supplies on my computer. I just don't know where all my time goes. I would like to get so much more done than I actually do. It will happen one day. Pictures to follow of some of the cards. I also have some work to do. In case you haven't heard, there is a boy named Stephen Goodman in Arizona who is trying to send handmade cards to ALL the soldiers overseas by July 1st! There is info at the following website.  www.creativeescapeaz.com He needs to get 180,000 cards for all the troops overseas, that's a lot of cards!
I think it is about time for bed now. I had a LONG day at work and am expecting another LONG day tomorrow. Maybe Thursday I will get some pics posted :)

I have actually worked on a few things this past week. Okay, more like two things. I did make a Thank You card for one of my friends who so generously gave me a duplicate set of stamps.  I am hoping that this too will convince my husband that I need to buy a scanner since the one we have now does not work. You can't even read the part that says thank you in the middle of the flower.  I don't need it just for scanning in projects, but for digital scrapbooking. You never know when you have something that you will need to scan in. Speaking of scrapbooking, I did complete 5 pages of Madison's pre-k album last night. I had insomnia, so I figured might as well do something useful with my time. I will post pages from the dig album as soon as there are pages without other kids on there. I don't know if all the other parents would want their kids on the internet. That's all for now, nap time is over. Time to go back outside and enjoy this 75 degree weather!

Maddie's project

I have been avoiding it all week, but I finally completed Madison's Valentine's Day project. I don't know why I have been avoiding it like the plague when it took me all of 5 minutes to do. It was like a mini scrapbook page. Maybe that's why I was avoiding it! I feel so overwhelmed by the amount of scrapbooking I have to do I didn't even want to try to do any. But it was actually kind of fun. I was able to use some of my disney princess scrapbook supplies. I almost got out the crop-a-dile and attached eyelet hearts. But I thought that may be a little too much for a pre-k project, so I stopped at brads. Here's how it looks now. I'm sure it will look a little different in a bit once Madison puts princess stickers all over it. It will get me all stressed out because it won't look "neat and pretty" anymore. But hey, it's her project not mine and I will just have to try to let go if I can.

First Project, Yay!

So it looks like I completed the first project. Daniel had a project to complete by Monday for Valentines Day, so there went project number one. Good way to get me started. Anyway, he needed to make a shoe box to collect valentines in for Valentine's Day. They were allowed to decorate it any way they wanted to, paper, buttons, stickers...you get the idea. So we thought we would do something a little more creative and make a "lovebot" We took a shoebox and another small cardboard box, chrome duct tape, a slinky, and a few stickers...there you go, we have a love bot. I think it came out pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. Now onto my daughter's project due Monday
